For established ponds exhibiting water loss, SeekLeak is applied to the surface of the water in the area where the origin of the leak is suspected. The current of the water flowing through the leak pulls the polymer into the fissures or porous material where it expands and seals. Leaks typically originate in the main basin [hydrostatic basin leak] or in the dam structure.
During pond construction when suspect material is discovered [rock, sand, gravel, loam, springs, caliche, etc.] SeekLeak is applied in conjunction with compacted clay to achieve seals.
